Ambience and atmosphere
Calm, spacious, and radiating Scandinavian simplicity, it provides a quiet retreat amidst the hustle and bustle of airport life, particularly at the rear of the lounge near the soundproof booths.
Decor and Design
Echoing Norwegian landscapes, the decor combines wood, stone, and soft fabrics to present a contemporary and cosy space. Although small, there is enough space to find a quiet spot. The bar is in the far corner of the lounge, and the food counter is at the front.
Menu and Culinary Delights
There are several kinds of bread, pastries, cold cuts, fruits, and a salad bar. It is possible to grab a quick snack or a light meal. Breakfasts are good with lots of variety, but hot dishes, particularly those served later in the day could be improved.
From aromatic coffees to local craft beers on tap, plus red and white wines, the beverage menu ensures the perfect sip. Also served is Munkholm beer, which is non-alcoholic and a Norwegian favourite. The bar is decent but not exceptional.
Amenities and Facilities
Beyond the basics, the SAS Business Lounge stands out with self-service food, a non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverage bar, free Wi-Fi, digital newspapers and magazines, business amenities, a relaxation area, phone rooms and guest offices. There are views of the gates and the duty-free shop below.
A varied collection of local and international (including UK) newspapers keeps you updated.
High-speed and hassle-free to stay connected, either courtesy of the lounge via a code or by using the general airport free wi-fi.
Conveniently located charging points ensure your devices are charging.
No smoking rooms or facilities are available.
Four soundproof booths enhance privacy and are a welcome touch.
The young ones are entertained with a dedicated playroom stocked with toys and games.
With easy wheelchair access and aids, the lounge ensures everyone travels comfortably.
Basic but pristine, they are adequate to freshen up. Showers are not available.
Small tables with chairs are found at the rear of the lounge with plenty of charging stations.
Service and Hospitality
The staff here embody the spirit of true Norwegian hospitality and are polite, attentive, and always ready to assist.
A harmonious blend of luxury, functionality, and warmth, the SAS Business Lounge at Oslo Gardermoen Airport is ideal for travellers looking for a respite before boarding. Improvements might include more comfortable seating, perhaps with lounge chairs and more variety when it comes to hot dishes and soups.
